• Many crawlspaces also house the supply and return duct work serving the occupied space above.

• Any leak and/or breeches in this duct work may in fact be helping promote or exacerbate any existing moisture control issues in the crawlspace. Duct leakage should be evaluated and a determination made on proper response.

• Leaky ducts can also serve as pollutant pathways allowing crawlspace contaminants to be transported into the living spaces above.
